Does the Wander Hawk 2P fit two wide sleeping pads?
Yes. The interior fits two 25 in / 64 cm wide sleeping pads side by side, providing comfortable sleeping space for two people.
Is the Wander Hawk 2P suitable for backpacking as well as bikepacking?
Yes. Although the Wander Hawk 2P is designed with bikepacking-friendly packed dimensions, its freestanding structure and 3 lb 14 oz / 1,750 g minimum trail weight also make it well suited for backpacking trips.
What does “minimum trail weight” mean?
The Wander Hawk 2P has a minimum trail weight of 3 lb 14 oz / 1,750 g. Minimum trail weight refers to the inner tent, rainfly and tent poles, excluding the footprint, bike bag and other accessories.
Why can the actual tent weight vary slightly from the published weight?
We aim to keep published weights as accurate as possible, but small variations can occur between production units. Differences in fabric processing, coatings and normal manufacturing tolerances may cause the finished weight to vary slightly from the listed specification.
How short are the tent poles when packed?
The tent poles pack down to approximately 13 in / 33 cm, making them easier to carry across handlebars or integrate into a compact bikepacking setup.
Is the handlebar bag included?
Yes. A dedicated bikepacking handlebar bag is included with the Wander Hawk 2P and is designed to carry the packed tent as part of your bikepacking setup.
What handlebar-to-wheel clearance is needed for the handlebar bag?
The required clearance depends on how the pole bag is carried. With the pole bag mounted underneath the handlebar bag, allow at least 9.1 in / 23 cm between the handlebar and front wheel. If the pole bag is mounted in front of the handlebar bag or stored inside it, a minimum clearance of 7.1 in / 18 cm is recommended.
Is the footprint included?
Yes. The footprint is included with the Wander Hawk 2P and weighs approximately 9 oz / 255 g.
Is the Wander Hawk 2P freestanding?
Yes. The Wander Hawk 2P uses a freestanding aluminum pole structure, making setup straightforward and giving you more flexibility when choosing a campsite.
How many doors and vestibules does the Wander Hawk 2P have?
The tent has two doors and two vestibules, giving each camper independent access and protected space for footwear, packs and other gear.
Can the vestibules be configured as awnings?
Yes. Both vestibule sides can be configured as awnings, creating additional sheltered space outside the tent for relaxing, organizing gear or improving airflow when conditions allow.
What is the waterproof rating?
The rainfly has a 2,000 mm waterproof rating, while the tent floor has a 3,000 mm waterproof rating. Both use silicone and polyurethane coatings for weather protection.
How can I reduce wrinkles in the tent fabric?
Wrinkles can occur naturally after the tent has been packed and may be more noticeable in colder conditions or on darker fabrics. To help smooth the fabric, pitch the tent in a warm, sunny location and allow the fabric to relax. A light mist of water can also help if needed. Avoid excessively compressing the tent during storage.

Good product for prof

picked up this tent for weekend hikes and short bike trips, and it's been great so far. I was pleasantly surprised it came with both a handlebar bag and a regular stuff sack — really handy. The short pole design makes it much easier to pack into my backpack, which is a big plus.I've set it up a few times at home and in a nearby park. Setup is pretty straightforward, especially with the color-coded poles and rainfly. Just don’t forget to stake it down if it's windy — mine almost took off once!Inside, there are lots of pockets: two large ones for clothes and four smaller ones for your phone and other small items. I also really like the extra vent poles by the doors — great for airflow. The seams are nicely sealed, so I'm looking forward to seeing how it holds up in the rain.I haven't used a footprint yet, but since the floor is made of 20D fabric, I'll definitely bring one on future trips just to be safe.

Excellent choice for anyone new to bikepacking or lightweight camping

Just received and tried this tent and was really happy with it. I’m new to bikepacking and lightweight camping, and this tent made the whole experience smoother than I expected. The packed size is small enough to fit in my bike bag without taking up extra space, which was a big plus.Setup was straightforward. I tried a few times at home, and I could set it up by myself without any trouble. It definitely goes faster with two people. Inside, the space is surprisingly decent. I'm 5'9" and could fully stretch out with room to spare. It fits two people side by side comfortablyOverall, this tent is an excellent choice for anyone new to bikepacking or lightweight camping. It’s compact, easy to use, and offers just the right balance of comfort and function. Exactly what I needed to get started and I’d happily recommend it to others
